### Official description

Free Download Manager 2.0 Build 417 contains a local buffer overflow vulnerability in the URL import functionality that allows attackers to trigger a structured exception handler (SEH) chain exploitation. Attackers can craft a malicious URL file that, when imported through the File > Import > Import lists of downloads menu, causes a buffer overflow in the Location header response that overwrites the SEH chain and executes arbitrary code.

Weakness: CWE-120 (Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input)

What it is: CVE-2018-25304 is a high-severity memory corruption vulnerability in Filehippo Free Download Manager, published on 29 Apr 2026. It can only be exploited from the same machine or local network, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: It is not confirmed as exploited in the wild, but public exploit code for CVE-2018-25304 exists.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
