## What is CVE-2019-11244?

CVE-2019-11244 is a low-severity vulnerability in Kubernetes Kubernetes, published on 22 Apr 2019. It can only be exploited from the same machine or local network, and only if a user opens a file or follows a link.

### Official description

In Kubernetes v1.8.x-v1.14.x, schema info is cached by kubectl in the location specified by --cache-dir (defaulting to $HOME/.kube/http-cache), written with world-writeable permissions (rw-rw-rw-). If --cache-dir is specified and pointed at a different location accessible to other users/groups, the written files may be modified by other users/groups and disrupt the kubectl invocation.

Weakness: CWE-732 (Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource), CWE-524 (Use of Cache Containing Sensitive Information)

Check this codebase for CVE-2019-11244 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2019-11244 is a low-severity vulnerability in Kubernetes Kubernetes, published on 22 Apr 2019. It can only be exploited from the same machine or local network, and only if a user opens a file or follows a link.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2019-11244 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- k8s.io/client-go (Go): affected from 1.8.0; fixed in 1.12.9
- k8s.io/client-go (Go): affected from 1.8.0; fixed in 1.12.9

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
