## What is CVE-2020-11078?

CVE-2020-11078 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 20 May 2020. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

In httplib2 before version 0.18.0, an attacker controlling unescaped part of uri for `httplib2.Http.request()` could change request headers and body, send additional hidden requests to same server. This vulnerability impacts software that uses httplib2 with uri constructed by string concatenation, as opposed to proper urllib building with escaping. This has been fixed in 0.18.0.

Weakness: CWE-74 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component), CWE-93 (Improper Neutralization of CRLF Sequences)

Check this codebase for CVE-2020-11078 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2020-11078 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 20 May 2020. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2020-11078 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- httplib2 (PyPI): affected all versions; fixed in 0.18.0
- httplib2 (PyPI): affected all versions; fixed in 0.18.0
- httplib2 (PyPI): affected all versions; fixed in 0.18.0

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
