## What is CVE-2020-11080?

CVE-2020-11080 is a low-severity denial of service vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 3 Jun 2020. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

In nghttp2 before version 1.41.0, the overly large HTTP/2 SETTINGS frame payload causes denial of service. The proof of concept attack involves a malicious client constructing a SETTINGS frame with a length of 14,400 bytes (2400 individual settings entries) over and over again. The attack causes the CPU to spike at 100%. nghttp2 v1.41.0 fixes this vulnerability. There is a workaround to this vulnerability. Implement nghttp2_on_frame_recv_callback callback, and if received frame is SETTINGS frame and the number of settings entries are large (e.g., > 32), then drop the connection.

Weakness: CWE-400 (Uncontrolled Resource Consumption), CWE-707 (Improper Neutralization)

Check this codebase for CVE-2020-11080 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2020-11080 is a low-severity denial of service vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 3 Jun 2020. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2020-11080 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- node (Bitnami): affected from 10.13.0; fixed in 10.21.0, 12.18.0, 14.4.1
- node-min (Bitnami): affected from 10.0.0; fixed in 10.12.1, 10.21.0, 12.12.1, 12.18.0, 14.4.1

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
