## What is CVE-2020-7471?

CVE-2020-7471 is a critical SQL injection vulnerability in Djangoproject Django, published on 3 Feb 2020. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

Django 1.11 before 1.11.28, 2.2 before 2.2.10, and 3.0 before 3.0.3 allows SQL Injection if untrusted data is used as a StringAgg delimiter (e.g., in Django applications that offer downloads of data as a series of rows with a user-specified column delimiter). By passing a suitably crafted delimiter to a contrib.postgres.aggregates.StringAgg instance, it was possible to break escaping and inject malicious SQL.

Weakness: CWE-89 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command)

Check this codebase for CVE-2020-7471 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2020-7471 is a critical SQL injection vulnerability in Djangoproject Django, published on 3 Feb 2020. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2020-7471 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- django (Bitnami): affected from 1.11.0; fixed in 1.11.28, 2.2.10, 3.0.3
- django (PyPI): affected all versions; fixed in 1.11.28
- django (PyPI): affected from 1.11; fixed in 1.11.28, 2.2.10, 3.0.3

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
