## What is CVE-2022-20634?

CVE-2022-20634 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Cisco Enterprise Chat and Email, published on 15 Nov 2024. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, and only if a user opens a file or follows a link.

### Official description

A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco ECE could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to redirect a user to an undesired web page.
This vulnerability is due to improper input validation of the URL parameters in an HTTP request that is sent to an affected system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user of the interface to click a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the interface to redirect the user to a specific, malicious URL. This type of vulnerability is known as an open redirect and is used in phishing attacks that get users to unknowingly visit malicious sites.Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

Check this codebase for CVE-2022-20634 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2022-20634 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Cisco Enterprise Chat and Email, published on 15 Nov 2024. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, and only if a user opens a file or follows a link.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2022-20634 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected product: Cisco Enterprise Chat and Email. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
