## What is CVE-2022-43548?

CVE-2022-43548 is a high-severity command injection vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 5 Dec 2022. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

A OS Command Injection vulnerability exists in Node.js versions <14.21.1, <16.18.1, <18.12.1, <19.0.1 due to an insufficient IsAllowedHost check that can easily be bypassed because IsIPAddress does not properly check if an IP address is invalid before making DBS requests allowing rebinding attacks. The fix for this issue in https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2022-32212 was incomplete and this new CVE is to complete the fix.

Weakness: CWE-78 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command)

Check this codebase for CVE-2022-43548 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2022-43548 is a high-severity command injection vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 5 Dec 2022. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2022-43548 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- node (Bitnami): affected from 14.0.0; fixed in 14.14.1, 14.21.1, 16.12.1, 16.18.1, 18.11.1, 18.12.1, 19.0.1
- node-min (Bitnami): affected from 14.0.0; fixed in 14.14.1, 14.21.1, 16.12.1, 16.18.1, 18.11.1, 18.12.1, 19.0.1

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
