## What is CVE-2022-45047?

CVE-2022-45047 is a critical unsafe deserialization vulnerability in Apache MINA SSHD, published on 16 Nov 2022. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

Class org.apache.sshd.server.keyprovider.SimpleGeneratorHostKeyProvider in Apache MINA SSHD <= 2.9.1 uses Java deserialization to load a serialized java.security.PrivateKey. The class is one of several implementations that an implementor using Apache MINA SSHD can choose for loading the host keys of an SSH server.

Weakness: CWE-502 (Deserialization of Untrusted Data)

Check this codebase for CVE-2022-45047 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2022-45047 is a critical unsafe deserialization vulnerability in Apache MINA SSHD, published on 16 Nov 2022. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: It is not confirmed as exploited in the wild, but public exploit code for CVE-2022-45047 exists.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- org.apache.sshd:sshd-common (Maven): affected all versions; fixed in 2.9.2
- org.apache.sshd:sshd-common (Maven): affected all versions; fixed in 2.9.2
- org.apache.sshd:sshd-core (Maven): affected all versions; fixed in 2.9.2
- org.apache.sshd:sshd-core (Maven): affected all versions; fixed in 2.9.2

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
