## What is CVE-2024-26764?

CVE-2024-26764 is a low-severity denial of service vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 3 Apr 2024. It can only be exploited from the same machine or local network, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

fs/aio: Restrict kiocb_set_cancel_fn() to I/O submitted via libaio

If kiocb_set_cancel_fn() is called for I/O submitted via io_uring, the
following kernel warning appears:

WARNING: CPU: 3 PID: 368 at fs/aio.c:598 kiocb_set_cancel_fn+0x9c/0xa8
Call trace:

Fix this by setting the IOCB_AIO_RW flag for read and write I/O that is
submitted by libaio.

```text
Check this codebase for CVE-2024-26764 and fix it if it is affected.
What it is: CVE-2024-26764 is a low-severity denial of service vulnerability in Debian Debian Linux, published on 3 Apr 2024. It can only be exploited from the same machine or local network, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2024-26764 in the wild and no public exploit code.
Affected product: Debian Debian Linux. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.
Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
