## What is CVE-2026-0753?

CVE-2026-0753 is a high-severity cross-site scripting vulnerability in bitacre Super Simple Contact Form, published on 14 Feb 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

The Super Simple Contact Form plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'sscf_name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Weakness: CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation)

What it is: CVE-2026-0753 is a high-severity cross-site scripting vulnerability in bitacre Super Simple Contact Form, published on 14 Feb 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
