## What is CVE-2026-108522?

CVE-2026-108522 is a medium-severity authentication bypass vulnerability in Studio-Saelix Sencho, published on 11 Oct 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

A vulnerability was found in Studio-Saelix Sencho up to 0.94.1. This affects an unknown part of the file /api/auth/login of the component Login Endpoint. Performing a manipulation of the argument X-Forwarded-For results in improper authentication. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is named 79b86ddcd4aefdd6941f098e35990ab397b13c72. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. The vendor confirms: "The login limiter relied on client-supplied X-Forwarded-For data without an explicit trusted-proxy boundary, allowing an attacker to rotate the apparent client address. The remediation now ignores forwarding headers by default, accepts them only from explicitly configured proxy CIDRs, and adds a separate failed-attempt limit keyed by normalized account identity."

Weakness: CWE-287 (Improper Authentication)

What it is: CVE-2026-108522 is a medium-severity authentication bypass vulnerability in Studio-Saelix Sencho, published on 11 Oct 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: It is not confirmed as exploited in the wild, but public exploit code for CVE-2026-108522 exists.

Affected product: Studio-Saelix Sencho. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
