## What is CVE-2026-114406?

CVE-2026-114406 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes 4.10, published on 21 Oct 2026.

### Official description

The system certificate authority (CA) store in Red Hat products, distributed via ca-certificates RPM packages, included multiple root CA certificates of authorities, which signed intermediate CA certificates with weak private keys issued by the eMudhra certificate authority. A man-in-the-middle attacker could use this flaw to issue certificates for arbitrary host names signed by the weak intermediate CA certificates, which would be considered trusted by a TLS/SSL client using system CA store and cause such clients to connect to malicious sites.

Due to inability to only distrust specific intermediate certificates in all clients using the system CA store, root CA certificates of authorities that signed weak intermediate CA certificates are being removed.

Weakness: CWE-295 (Improper Certificate Validation)

Check this codebase for CVE-2026-114406 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2026-114406 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes 4.10, published on 21 Oct 2026.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-114406 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected product: Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes 4.10. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
