## What is CVE-2026-115801?

CVE-2026-115801 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Kakao khaiii, published on 23 Oct 2026.

### Official description

A security flaw has been discovered in Kakao khaiii up to 0.4. The impacted element is the function khaiii::nn::Linear::open of the file src/main/cpp/khaiii/nn/Linear.cpp of the component JSON Config File Handler. The manipulation of the argument hidden_dim/class_num results in out-of-bounds read. The attack requires a local approach. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor explains: "khaiii treats the resource directory (--rsc-dir) as trusted input, like a binary or a shared library. To use this defect, an attacker must already be able to write to that directory. With that access, an attacker can change the analysis results without this defect." This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.

Weakness: CWE-125 (Out-of-bounds Read), CWE-119 (Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer)

Check this codebase for CVE-2026-115801 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2026-115801 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Kakao khaiii, published on 23 Oct 2026.
Exploitation: It is not confirmed as exploited in the wild, but public exploit code for CVE-2026-115801 exists.

Affected product: Kakao khaiii. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
