## What is CVE-2026-15267?

CVE-2026-15267 is a medium-severity SQL injection vulnerability in Taskbuilder – Project Management & Task Management Tool With Kanban Board, published on 28 Jul 2026. Any signed-in user can exploit it over the network, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

The Taskbuilder – Project Management & Task Management Tool With Kanban Board plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'wppm_proj_filter' parameter in versions up to, and including, 5.0.9. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and the lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query — the value is re-read at line 144 using only sanitize_text_field() (overwriting the earlier absint() result), then concatenated into the SQL WHERE clause as an unquoted numeric operand using only esc_sql(), which does not protect against injection in that context, and finally string-interpolated into the $wpdb->prepare() format string, bypassing parameterization entirely. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Weakness: CWE-89 (Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command)

What it is: CVE-2026-15267 is a medium-severity SQL injection vulnerability in Taskbuilder – Project Management & Task Management Tool With Kanban Board, published on 28 Jul 2026. Any signed-in user can exploit it over the network, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-15267 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected product: Taskbuilder – Project Management & Task Management Tool With Kanban Board. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
