## What is CVE-2026-23925?

CVE-2026-23925 is a medium-severity missing authorization vulnerability in Zabbix Zabbix, published on 6 Mar 2026. Any signed-in user can exploit it over the network, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

An authenticated Zabbix user (User role) with template/host write permissions is able to create objects via the configuration.import API. This can lead to confidentiality loss by creating unauthorized hosts. Note that the User role is normally not sufficient to create and edit templates/hosts even with write permissions.

Check this codebase for CVE-2026-23925 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2026-23925 is a medium-severity missing authorization vulnerability in Zabbix Zabbix, published on 6 Mar 2026. Any signed-in user can exploit it over the network, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-23925 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected product: Zabbix Zabbix. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
