## What is CVE-2026-4136?

CVE-2026-4136 is a medium-severity vulnerability in stellarwp Membership Plugin – Restrict Content, published on 20 Mar 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, and only if a user opens a file or follows a link.

### Official description

The Membership Plugin – Restrict Content plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unvalidated Redirect in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.24. This is due to insufficient validation on the redirect url supplied via the 'rcp_redirect' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to redirect users with the password reset email to potentially malicious sites if they can successfully trick them into performing an action.

Weakness: CWE-640 (Weak Password Recovery Mechanism for Forgotten Password)

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
