An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, and only if a user opens a file or follows a link.\nExploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-48745 in the wild and no public exploit code.\n\nAffected product: traccar-client. No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.\n\nTask:\n1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.\n2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.\n3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.\n4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.\n5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.\n\nReference: https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-48745/ (Markdown: https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-48745/index.md)","id":"CVE-2026-48745","markdown":"https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-48745/index.md","name":"CVE-2026-48745","record":{"aliases":["GHSA-vm6j-6g39-gj97"],"analysis":{"component_type":"mobile_application","fix_type":"upgrade","impacts":["data_read","security_bypass"],"network_reachable":"yes","non_default_config":false,"product_category":"GPS tracking app","requires_auth":"none","summary":"Attackers can hijack GPS telemetry settings via deep links, redirecting location data to their servers without user consent.","user_interaction":"required","vuln_class":"other"},"analysis_generated_by":"qwen3.8-flash-next","assigner":"GitHub_M","cpe":[],"cvss":{"score":9.3,"severity":"critical","source":"cna","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","version":"3.1"},"cwes":[{"id":"CWE-940","name":"Improper Verification of Source of a Communication Channel"}],"description":"Traccar Client is a GPS tracking mobile app for sending location updates to private servers using the open-source Traccar platform. In versions 9.7.19 and below, a single crafted deep link can silently hijack all GPS tracking parameters and redirect telemetry to an attacker-controlled server. The app registers a custom org.traccar.client://config deep-link scheme that silently writes attacker-supplied parameters (server URL, device ID, accuracy, distance, and interval) into the app's persistent configuration with no confirmation, notification, or visual indication. A single crafted link delivered via SMS, email, a webpage, or any installed app can therefore reconfigure the app the moment the victim taps it, with no special permissions required. As a result, an attacker can covertly redirect all of the victim's GPS telemetry to their own server at maximum precision and frequency, and the change persists across restarts. This gives the attacker continuous, real-time tracking of the victim's location. This issue has been fixed in version 9.7.20.","ecosystems":[],"exploits":{"exploitdb":0,"first_seen":null,"github_poc":0,"max_poc_stars":null,"metasploit":0,"nuclei":0,"refs":[],"tier":"none_known"},"has_fix":false,"headline":"Traccar Client: silent configuration hijack via unverified deep link redirects all GPS telemetry","id":"CVE-2026-48745","indexable":true,"kev":null,"kind":"cve","links":{"ecosystem":null,"product":null,"products":[],"type":"other","year":"2026"},"n_packages":0,"n_references":2,"next":{"headline":"vLLM: OpenAI auth bypass","id":"CVE-2026-48746"},"packages":[],"prev":{"headline":"Saleor: Anonymous users can modify channel settings via `channelUpdate` due to `all([])` bypass in permission check","id":"CVE-2026-48744"},"products":["traccar-client"],"published":"2026-06-16","related":[],"sources":[{"class":"attribution","licence":"CVE Terms of Use (MITRE)","name":"CVE List","prefix":"CVE"},{"class":"attribution","licence":"CWE Terms of Use","name":"CWE (MITRE)"},{"class":"attribution","licence":"FIRST CVSS licence","name":"CVSS (FIRST)"}],"ssvc":{"automatable":"no","exploitation":"none","technical_impact":"total"},"state":"PUBLISHED","updated":"2026-06-17","vendors":["traccar"]},"summary":"Attackers can hijack GPS telemetry settings via deep links, redirecting location data to their servers without user consent.","url":"https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-48745/"}
