What is CVE-2026-82526?
CVE-2026-82526 is a critical SQL injection vulnerability in SciPhi-AI R2R, published on 3 Sep 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Official description
R2R through 3.6.6 contains a stacked SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL statements by manipulating the index name parameter in the vector index creation endpoint. The index name is interpolated directly into a CREATE INDEX statement via string formatting without identifier quoting or allowlist validation, enabling arbitrary DDL and DML execution through semicolon-separated statements under the PostgreSQL superuser account.
Weakness: CWE-89
Which versions are affected by CVE-2026-82526?

No fix has been published for CVE-2026-82526 yet. Limit exposure of the affected software until one is available.
Use parameterised queries everywhere and never build SQL by joining strings. Upgrade affected software first; a web application firewall only buys time. More about SQL injection.
Is CVE-2026-82526 being exploited?
It is not confirmed as exploited in the wild, but public exploit code for CVE-2026-82526 exists.
