What is CVE-2026-84286?
CVE-2026-84286 is a critical memory corruption vulnerability in Turboderp-org ExLlamaV3, published on 12 Oct 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Official description
ExLlamaV3’s EXL3 loader uses an untrusted, model-supplied index to select a CUDA kernel without first verifying that the index is within bounds. A malicious model can force the code to read and invoke an out‑of‑range function pointer, resulting in a reproducible crash. Under specific conditions involving certain host memory layouts, it may be possible for an attacker to exploit this vulnerability to achieve controlled indirect kernel dispatch during model load.
Which versions are affected by CVE-2026-84286?
How do I fix CVE-2026-84286?
No fix has been published for CVE-2026-84286 yet. Limit exposure of the affected software until one is available.
Upgrade to the fixed version. Memory-safe languages, compiler hardening and fuzzing prevent most new cases. More about Memory corruption.
Is CVE-2026-84286 being exploited?
There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-84286 in the wild and no public exploit code.
