## What is CVE-2026-85745?

CVE-2026-85745 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Mariadb Mariadb, published on 16 Oct 2026. Any signed-in user can exploit it over the network, with no action from the victim.

### Official description

MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, ST_Area reads beyond the allocated buffer when processing invalid WKB for a MultiPolygon because the multi-polygon parser advances past a nested geometry header without first verifying enough input remains. A low-privileged remote attacker can supply malformed spatial data to disclose memory useful for bypassing ASLR as part of a multi-vulnerability chain. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.

Weakness: CWE-126 (Buffer Over-read)

Check this codebase for CVE-2026-85745 and fix it if it is affected.

What it is: CVE-2026-85745 is a medium-severity vulnerability in Mariadb Mariadb, published on 16 Oct 2026. Any signed-in user can exploit it over the network, with no action from the victim.
Exploitation: There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-85745 in the wild and no public exploit code.

Affected packages and fixed versions:
- mariadb (Bitnami): affected from 10.6.1; fixed in 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, 13.0.2
- mariadb-min (Bitnami): affected from 10.6.1; fixed in 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, 13.0.2

Task:
1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.
2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.
3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.
4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.
5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.
