What is CVE-2026-93435?
CVE-2026-93435 is a high-severity denial of service vulnerability in NodeRedis redis-parser, published on 17 Sep 2026. An attacker can exploit it over the internet without logging in, with no action from the victim.
Official description
redis-parser through 3.0.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the RESP protocol parser that allows malicious Redis endpoints to crash the client process through unbounded recursion on nested arrays. Attackers can send crafted RESP byte streams with repeated array headers that exhaust the V8 call stack, causing an uncaught RangeError that terminates the Node.js process without triggering error handling callbacks.
Weakness: CWE-674
Which versions are affected by CVE-2026-93435?
How do I fix CVE-2026-93435?
Upgrade to a fixed version.
Upgrade, then put limits on request size, rate and nesting depth so one client cannot exhaust the service. More about Denial of service.
Is CVE-2026-93435 being exploited?
There is no known exploitation of CVE-2026-93435 in the wild and no public exploit code.
