No package-level version data is available, so check the vendor advisory linked from the reference page.\n\nTask:\n1. Search the dependency manifests and lockfiles (for example package.json, package-lock.json, requirements.txt, poetry.lock, uv.lock, pom.xml, build.gradle, go.mod, Cargo.lock, Gemfile.lock) and any Dockerfiles for the affected packages, including transitive dependencies.\n2. If an affected version is in use, upgrade it to the fixed version for its release line with the project's package manager, so the lockfile is regenerated. Prefer the smallest upgrade that fixes it.\n3. If there is no fix, or the upgrade would break the build, do not guess: explain the risk and the safest workaround instead.\n4. Run the tests and summarise what changed and why.\n5. If nothing in the project is affected, say so and change nothing.\n\nReference: https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-97547/ (Markdown: https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-97547/index.md)","id":"CVE-2026-97547","markdown":"https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-97547/index.md","name":"CVE-2026-97547","record":{"aliases":["BELL-CVE-2026-97547","DEBIAN-CVE-2026-97547","GHSA-cpgc-625w-fgr3","UBUNTU-CVE-2026-97547"],"analysis":null,"analysis_generated_by":null,"assigner":"Linux","cpe":[],"cvss":{"score":null,"severity":null,"source":null,"vector":null,"version":null},"cwes":[],"description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\nxfs: fix exchange-range reflink flag clearing issue with INO1_WRITTEN\n\nWhen exchanging two full-file ranges, xmi_can_exchange_reflink_flags()\ncan move the reflink inode flag from the file that currently has it to\nthe other file, as long as exactly one side is marked.  This assumes\nthat the file contents, and therefore all shared extents, are exchanged.\n\nThat assumption is not true when XFS_EXCHMAPS_INO1_WRITTEN is set.\nxfs_exchmaps_can_skip_mapping() can skip hole and unwritten mappings\nfrom file1, so an exchange can complete without moving every mapping\nthat the earlier flag-swap decision accounted for.  In that case the\npost-operation cleanup can clear the reflink flag from an inode that\nstill owns shared written extents.  Later writes then take the\nnon-reflink write path and may update blocks that should still have\nbeen protected by CoW, which shows up as data corruption between\nreflink-related files.\n\nFix this by disabling the reflink flag exchange whenever\nXFS_EXCHMAPS_INO1_WRITTEN is requested.  The contents exchange can still\nproceed; the conservative outcome is that both inodes keep the reflink\nflag.  The regular reflink flag cleanup path can drop the extra flag\nlater once the inode no longer has shared extents.","ecosystems":[],"exploits":{"exploitdb":0,"first_seen":null,"github_poc":0,"max_poc_stars":null,"metasploit":0,"nuclei":0,"refs":[],"tier":"none_known"},"has_fix":true,"headline":"xfs: fix exchange-range reflink flag clearing issue with INO1_WRITTEN","id":"CVE-2026-97547","indexable":true,"kev":null,"kind":"cve","links":{"ecosystem":null,"product":null,"products":[],"type":null,"year":"2026"},"n_packages":0,"n_references":4,"next":{"headline":"xfs: fix the rtrmap and rtrefcount _maxlevels_ondisk functions","id":"CVE-2026-97548"},"packages":[],"prev":{"headline":"xfs: don't spin forever on zero-length dirents when salvaging them","id":"CVE-2026-97546"},"products":["Linux"],"published":"2026-09-25","related":[],"sources":[{"class":"attribution","licence":"CVE Terms of Use (MITRE)","name":"CVE List","prefix":"CVE"}],"ssvc":{"automatable":null,"exploitation":null,"technical_impact":null},"state":"PUBLISHED","updated":"2026-10-19","vendors":["Linux"]},"summary":null,"url":"https://insights.sbomify.com/CVE-2026-97547/"}
