## What is MAL-2025-47021?

MAL-2025-47021 is a malicious package in rushstack-lockfile-explorer, published on 10 Sep 2025.

### Official description

Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.

This package installs a dependency hosted on a custom domain that runs an
info stealer during installation. The info stealer focuses on stealing
npm, git, and other CI/CD related tokens.

## What should I do about MAL-2025-47021?

Remove the package from your dependencies and lockfiles, then rotate any secrets on machines where it was installed.
