1. Search this repository's dependency manifests and lockfiles for the package, including transitive dependencies.
2. If it is present, remove it, regenerate the lockfile with the project's package manager, and replace whatever it was used for.
3. List any CI runners, developer machines or containers that installed it, so their secrets can be rotated.
4. If the package is not used anywhere, say so and change nothing.

What is MAL-2026-16235?
MAL-2026-16235 is a malicious package in strapi-plugin-osag, published on 16 Sep 2026.
Official description
The package presents itself as a Strapi plugin but ships no plugin code — only a postinstall.js script that runs automatically on
npm install. The script collects installer-side host identifiers (hostname, OS platform/arch/type/release, username, home directory) and enumerates all network interface addresses, then transmits them as query parameters in a plain HTTP GET to a hardcoded Burp Collaborator subdomain 8y70jt07jkewju8wh0o1cgkaw12sqje8.oastify.com on port 80. The package's declared repository/homepage points at a placeholder github.com/user/strapi-plugin-yayccresh-meeb URL that does not identify a real publisher, and the Strapi-branded name does not match the shipped contents. What should I do about MAL-2026-16235?
Remove the package from your dependencies and lockfiles, then rotate any secrets on machines where it was installed.
