What is MAL-2026-16340?

MAL-2026-16340 is a malicious package in pf25262, published on 21 Sep 2026.

Official description

index.js contains a browser exfiltration snippet that issues a credentialed fetch to /profile, extracts a DGA{…} token or falls back to capturing document.cookie plus the response length, and redirects the browser to a hardcoded collector URL at https://webhook.site/c4e39647-bfb8-47ef-b6d4-a112aacc6cd1/ with the captured data appended to the path. The package's entire shipped payload is this authenticated-session-data exfiltration snippet, sending same-origin credentials and cookies to an attacker-controlled webhook.site bin.

Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.

What should I do about MAL-2026-16340?

Remove the package from your dependencies and lockfiles, then rotate any secrets on machines where it was installed.
