## What is MAL-2026-18144?

MAL-2026-18144 is a malicious package in prosodinetts, published on 21 Oct 2026.

### Official description

The package prosodinetts 0.1.0 contains no observed install-time or import-time code paths that read installer secrets, perform outbound network activity to attacker-controlled destinations, fetch and execute remote payloads, modify files outside the package's own directory, or establish persistence. No lifecycle hooks, dropper patterns, credential-harvest routines, or silent-relay mechanisms were identified in the shipped files.

This campaign consists of similar loader packages, which provide executing code from a given URL. While they do not contain the malicious payload and the usage remains unknown, they are clearly a coordinated campaign to place multiple deceptive ways to load malicious code.
