What is MAL-2026-18332?
MAL-2026-18332 is a malicious package in harlow-css-mixer, published on 26 Oct 2026.
Official description
The package contains two files and no code paths that read installer secrets, perform install-time or import-time network fetches, execute remote content, or relay caller-supplied data to a third-party destination. No lifecycle scripts, droppers, credential reads, or exfiltration endpoints are present. The 0.0.0-stage version string is consistent with a staging/placeholder release.
Any computer that has this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised. All secrets and keys stored on that computer should be rotated immediately from a different computer. The package should be removed, but as full control of the computer may have been given to an outside entity, there is no guarantee that removing the package will remove all malicious software resulting from installing it.
What should I do about MAL-2026-18332?
Remove the package from your dependencies and lockfiles, then rotate any secrets on machines where it was installed.
